A celebration of bonus material!
I may be nutty, but I love the little 'bonus' articles, profiles and miscellanea that occasionally pop up in comics. You know the ones. They're made to fill the space where the letter page should be, or they're just little bits of extra material the authors of the smaller comics wanted to display. Sadly, these little bits often get the shaft when it comes to reprints and trade paperbacks, and that's a pity. Some of the stuff I've read is just marvellous. Like these :-).
( Woot! )And since I mentioned the series here, I should probably tell this to people too.
Phil Foglio's
Girl Genius series is really good, and scans have in the past made their way onto the group. Sadly, the series is not being published in comic format anymore. Happily, it's still around, and even more happily, it's now a web comic with three pages weekly and an annual trade paperback! Now everyone can read Girl Genius, and they're even reprinting the older stuff on the web! Bonus! Head over to
http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/ to enjoy, and if you really like it, buy some trades and support good comics :-).
