"The needle returns to the start of the song, and we all sing along like before..."
Here's an interesting site. For all the stuff you never needed to know...
I actually found it looking for info on New York's Pneumatic Subway, after hearing the quite bizarre story mentioned in a book I'm reading. How odd. How unfortunate, too. It didn't seem like such a bad idea, really.
*snicker* There's also this article on cheating penguins :-).
In comic news, DC has a new logo. Well, that's... special. And kinda unnecessary, if you ask me personally, but they aren't, so I'll just shut up.
In more important news, at least to me, Geoff Johns is leaving The Flash as soon as he's done with the Rogue War storyline. This... I'm not sure what to think about this. The one thing I really like about John's work on this title, and the big reason I'm leery of him leaving, is the emphasis on the Flash's Rogues Gallery. I love what he's done with them (well okay, with the minor exception of Heat Wave) and I love how often they get used. I'm afraid that if someone else takes over they'll go back to the whole title being Wally + Speedsters + no-one else. And let me let you in on a secret that you've all probably guessed by now; I don't actually find DC's speedsters very interesting. Hell, I don't even find Wally all that interesting. I mean, I don't dislike him, he's a nice enough character and all, but if someone gave me a choice between reading a Flash title and reading a Rogues title? I'd be on the Rogues like that.
Wait, that sounded wrong. Or possibly just right :-).
The point is, I've heard all these complaints about how the Rogues are taking over Wally's title and all I can say is, "Yes, that's right. Good, isn't it?" I have a horrible feeling that the next writer might not feel that way. And now I'm worried that I'm going to lose one of my favourite titles by dint of it turning into something I don't actually find all that interesting.
D'oh.
